Coronavirus Update Update 21 May 2022 Public Health have advised that events and premises will no longer be required to have density or capacity limits in place as part of COVID-19 regulations from 12:01 am Saturday, 21 May 2022. You may still voluntarily use capacity limits as part of ongoing COVID-19 safety management. Update 02 May 2022 Close contacts can leave home if they have no symptoms and return a negative test when notified they are a close contact. They must do the following for seven days: test for COVID-19, daily if they plan to leave home wear a face mask in all indoor settings when outside the home not attend high-risk settings , unless as a critical worker and an exemption is in place inform their workplace that they are a close contact It is also recommended that close contacts: work from home where possible avoid large gatherings and social events avoid contact with people at risk of severe disease including elderly, immunocompromised and those with chronic conditions maintain all COVID-safe behaviours. There are no changes to requirements for positive cases – isolation requirements remain in place for anyone who has received a positive RAT or PCR test result. In addition to the changes to close contact quarantine, the Director of Public Health has announced that the Check in TAS app will no longer be in use at all from 12:01 am Monday 2 May 2022. Updated 04 Mar 2022 From 12.01am Saturday, 5 March 2022 customers in retail settings will no longer be required to wear face masks in Tasmania. Staff in these settings will continue to be required to wear face masks to ensure business continuity. Retail settings include shops, supermarkets, shopping centres and similar premises where goods are provided for sale or hire. It does not include: health premises such as pharmacies or GPs personal care premises such as hairdressers, beauty and massage food and drink premises such as cafes, restaurants, clubs and bars. It is important to us that you can safely shop at Kingston Plaza . Please continue to adhere to state government guidelines and if you are not sure of current restrictions, please visit coronavirus.tas.gov.au . Remember when visiting our centres to: Keep a social distance of 1.5m from others; Practice good hygiene by using hand sanitisers located around our centre; Stay at home if you are unwell. Physical distancing is important for everyone, particularly for people at increased risk of severe COVID-19 illness due to older age or chronic health conditions. If you cannot maintain physical distance, wearing a mask is an important protective measure. There are situations when wearing a mask is mandatory in Tasmania. The mask must cover your mouth and nose. It is a good idea to keep a small supply of masks at home for yourself and other household members in case you are required to wear a mask in some public spaces at short notice e.g. in areas where masks can help reduce community risk or in the event of local cases.
